This week our group projects are due. Within my group we decided to modify the tone output lab and apply those concepts to a teddy bear with 3 different interactions controlled by touching their hands. Each hand creates a different tone, and when pressed together creates a melody. We chose to work with a flex sensor and a force sensing resistor to see how they operate differently in this hardware.
We first tested our idea on a breadboard with two sensors. The first thing to troubleshoot was the amount of sound output. We switched from a Nano to an Uno, as well as using the wrong resistor in the circuit. I feel like troubleshooting this gave me more confidence with working with the board.

The analog input range was a problem at first because the flex sensor was sensitive and would create a tone output without being physically touched. To get the bear to create a different sound per sensor, we gave them different frequency map ranges.
After showing our project in class and seeing other projects, what I would do differently in the future is attempt to add another interaction to pair with each sound, such as a light or motor movement. Working with a flex sensor and a force sensing resistor the critique echoed that using a squishable hardware was a good choice for inviting people to pinch and bend the sensors.
